FAQ
Contact us
All orders need to be submitted by email
and you can contact us directly at the
address to the left, or via the form on
the Contact us page.
Your choices
1.
Firstly you need to decide whether you
want completely plain chips, or chips
with an inlay or hotstamp.
If you want inlays, or custom hotstamps,
then artwork will be required.
If you don't have your own artwork then
simple designs can be completed by our
artwork department, and more complex
projects will be referred to our
freelance artists who you then deal with
directly. If you are creating your
own artwork, template links can be found
just below the main screen in the chip
designer tool. Note that as long
as you have selected your colors and
spots etc., it is not necessary to have
the artwork ready to place an order.
The clay takes a long time to prepare
and waiting until artwork is finalised
before contacting us will delay your
order.
2. You also need to choose a mold, chip
colors, optional edge spots, and any
inlay size or optional shape. All
these options have different prices.
You can navigate through them from the
Clay Chip index page and the
Chip Designer tool gives a good
representation of your choices. If
you have created your choices using the
tool then it is useful to attach a copy
of the output or a link to your shared
set when placing your order.
Pricing
The
pricing table shows the price of all
basic chips. The top part of the
table shows prices for any chips without
inlays. Hot Stamp pricing details
are
shown here.
The bottom part of the table shows
prices for all inlaid chips.
Levels are determined by complexity of
spot pattern. The complex spot
premium table applies to both plain and
inlaid chips. In addition, as
shown on the relevant pages, there are
premiums for dayglo chip bodies, bright
white clay, and shaped inlays. The
Chip Designer tool also shows the spot
pattern levels in the info box - eg (L3)
after the spot name means Level 3.
CERAMIC PRODUCTS
Dyesub chips and plaques have a setup
cost attached which varies according to
the value and volume/make up of the
order. This is not something we
can provide a fixed formula for so
please email us details of any proposed
order for a quote. There are no
artwork templates as every ceramic piece
starts out as a 'blank canvas'. We
just need designs submitted in a
suitable format, at least actual size.
If you need artwork created then the
same terms and conditions apply as for
clay chips above.
OTHER PRODUCTS & SAMPLES
All our sample products are available
via the online store.
For any other product orders, please
email us. PAYMENT & DELIVERY TIMES
Payment for all custom orders is 100% up
front when placing the order. For
clay chips, every piece of every chip is
hand made as required and our molds are
installed in rotation depending on
demand. We need sufficient paid
orders on any mold to justify scheduling
its installation. Therefore,
depending on mold and quantity, a custom
clay order can take anywhere from 3 to
12 months to complete.
Customer are welcome to enquire as to
which molds are scheduled at any time,
but waiting until a mold is about to go
into use will probably be too late due
to the clay preparation time required.
Ceramic orders are generally completed
within 3 to 4 weeks. Please note
there is a 3.5% fee for any
electronic payments (5.5% for
international - shipping and/or billing
addresses) and that fee is not
refundable.
